Founder, Wrist Enthusiast and Wren Watches

Craig Karger started Wrist Enthusiast as an Instagram account in 2015, turned it into a publication in 2021, and added a YouTube channel and podcast in 2023. He has written close to three hundred articles here since 2022, covering releases, hands-on reviews, buying guides and the occasional argument with the industry.

Before watches he practiced litigation in New York City, which mostly shows up in a tendency to read the fine print on a warranty before admiring the dial.

In 2023 he founded Wren Watches, an independent brand making Swiss-made automatic dive watches, which shipped its first watch, the Diver One Aqua, in 2024. Wrist Enthusiast discloses that relationship wherever it covers Wren.

His range runs from sub-$500 microbrands to six-figure independents, and what holds it together is a fixation on the details that decide whether a watch is actually good to own: lug-to-lug over case diameter, movement serviceability over marketing, and whether a brand is honest about what it made versus what it assembled.
