Grand Seiko Adds Two of New Dress Watches to Their Catalogue.

Grand Seiko is hard to argue with from a value proposition standpoint. Their finishing is always top notch, and they seem to rarely release any watches that aren’t well received by the community as a whole. This week, Grand Seiko unviewed two new simple time-only watches to the brands Elegance Collection. There is a blue dial (ref. SBGX347) and a white dial (ref. SBGX349).

THE JUICE:

The Time-Only models are not going to be for everyone. They are considered small by today’s standards, however if you rewind 20 years ago, this is a fairly standard size for traditional dress watches. And due to the movement being micro-thin, the watches measure in at a mear 10.7mm, easily sliding under any cuff.

Both dials have a lacquered mirror finish, and precicely cut stick indices for easy visibility on formal occasions. The cases are polished, and no-fuss, fitting this watch pretty snug into any collection.

Inside the watches is the 9F61A Grand Seiko Quartz. The movement is accurate to 10 seconds per year.

Overall, this is a formal watch designed for enthusiasts who are looking to add a traditional dress watch to their collection. Since it’s Grand Seiko, you can bet it’s top notch quality, and not terribly expensive. The size may deter some buyers, but I would be willing to bet these will sell well for the brand.

How much is the new Grand Seiko Elegance Dress Watches?

So far no limited edition number has been announced, so these will be available in the middle of October for $3.300 USD.
