Tom Brady’s Watch Collection

Tom Brady's Watch Collection

Tom Brady finally called it quits and retired (for a second time). This time, the 7 time Super Bowl winning quarterback assures us that it’s for good. Tom’s 7 Super Bowls (6 for the New England Patriots and 1 for the Tamp Bay Buccaneer’s) has firmly cemented his legacy as the greatest quarterback of all time.

In light of of the news of Brady’s retirement, we wanted to look at some of the watches worn by Tom Brady throughout his career, which includes Audemars Piguets, Tag Heuers and a bunch of IWCs.

Tom Brady’s Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Rubber Clad

Earlier in his career, it was much harder to find photos of Tom Brady’s wristwear. However, he apparently had an affinity for Audemars Piguet. Around 2002, after winning Super Bowl XXVI (36) , his first Super Bowl win, Brady could be seen wearing a rose gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Rubber Clad.

Tom Brady’s Tag Heuer Carrera Limited Edition

In 2015 Brady signed on with Tag Heuer to represent the brand. During this time Brady could be seen wearing many different watches from the brand, but he seemed to have an affinity for the Carrera, including a Tag Heuer Carrera, especially the Limited Edition Tom Brady Carrera Ref. CAR201R.FT6120.

Tom Brady’s IWC Pilot’s Watch Timezoner “The Longest Flight”

In 2019, after his partnership ended with Tag Heuer, Brady partnered with IWC. Since then Brady will often be seen wearing different IWC models. For example, Tom was spotted wearing an IWC Pilot’s Watch Timezoner “The Longest Flight” while signing his contract to play for the Tampa Buccaneers. I guess it was a good move since Brady won the Super Bowl (his 7th) in his first year with the Bucs.

Tom Brady’s Top Gun Chronograph

Ever since joining up with IWC, Brady has seemed to prefer the sportier models. This makes sense, given he is a professional athlete and he is often seen wearing his timepieces while on the golf course. One of the more traditional IWC Pilot Watches Brady has been seen wearing is the Top Gun Chronograph Ref. IW389101. This piece wears a little large (at 44.5 mm in diameter) and features black ceramic case. The caseback also features a nice engraving stating "TOP GUN - United States Navy Fighter Weapons School". All in all, the Top Gun Chronograph is a classic IWC pilot watch. Price for the piece is $8,950 USD.

Tom Brady’s IWC Big Pilot Ref. IW500922 Piece Unique

The Patriots' 2017 win over Atlanta in Super Bowl LI (51) is perhaps one of the most exciting football games ever played. Brady led the Patriots from a 28-3 deficit deep in the 3rd quarter to an overtime win over the Atlanta Falcons. As a lifelong Patriots fan myself, this is one of the greatest football games I have ever witnessed. To commemorate this win, Johann Rupert, Chairman of Richement (the owner of IWC), presented Brady with a gold Limited Edition Piece Unique (1 of 1) timepiece to commemorate the win. This IWC Big Pilot Ref. IW500922 features a rose gold case and rose gold dial. Only a handful of photos of this watch have been published and because of its limited nature no price can be given.

Tom Brady's IWC Top Gun Chronograph "Lake Tahoe"

One watch we have seen Brady wearing in promotional photography but not in real life is one of our absolute favorite new releases from IWC. While the IWC Top Gun Chronograph "Lake Tahoe" Ref. IW389105 has a fairly typical chronograph dial, the white ceramic case and matching white rubber strap bring this watch to another level. We don't see many brands attempting house their watches in white ceramic cases, but we're glad IWC took the chance. While the Top Gun Lake Tahoe is not a limited edition watch, the brand has promised an annual production limit of just 1,000 pieces, so it's not an easy watch to get your hands on. Price for the IWC Top Gun Chronograph "Lake Tahoe" is $10,700 USD.

Tom Brady’s IWC Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Mojave Desert

One of our absolute favorite watches of Tom’s is his IWC Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar Mojave Desert Ref. IW503004. Not only does this piece include a perpetual calendar complication (so you are set with the time through the year 2099), but the watch comes house in a very unique tan, desert-colored ceramic case. We at Wrist Enthusiast are generally big fans of IWC’s pilot watches, but we also love the watches they’ve released in ceramic. The IWC Top Gun “Lake Tahoe” chronograph with white ceramic case (featured above) is just another example of a ceramic IWC we love. The IWC Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Mojave Desert retails for $40,000 USD.

Tom Brady’s IWC Portugieser Tourbillon Hand Wound Squelette

Tom Brady hasn’t just made news recently because of his retirement. Brady also played an integral part in the new film 80 For Brady. The film stars Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field as four longtime friends and Patriots fans who travel to Houston to see their hero Tom Brady play in Super Bowl LI (the famous comeback where the Patriots beat the Falcons). Brady also plays himself in the film. To celebrate the premiere, Brady showed up on January 31, 2023 wearing the very special IWC Portugieser Tourbillon Hand Wound Squelette Ref. IW546201. This special piece was produced in 2011 and limited to just 25 pieces. Given Brady’s closeness to the brand, it makes sense he would have one, and be seen wearing it to such a special event. Prices on the secondary market for this piece are north of $100,000 USD.
