THE JUICE:
When you hear the name "Chopard Alpine Eagle," the dial designed after the eagle's eye is probably what first comes to mind. The Alpine Eagle XL Chrono follows suit and does so in a brand-new color. That color, "Rhône Blue," is modeled after the Rhône - one of the Alps' most famous rivers. The dial is made of brass and is stamped with a sunburst pattern and texture to give the watch its quintessential eagle-eye look. This new shade of blue contrasts against the black background of the chronograph subdials and the white hour indices.
While this is not the first Alpine Eagle Chronograph, one feature new to the collection's chronographs is the titanium case. The 44mm case is forged from grade 5 titanium giving it both a unique look and a light-as-a-feather weight on the wrist. Chopard combines titanium with aluminum and vanadium to give the case an added resistance to corrosion and allow wearers to use it freely in oceans around the globe. The integrated rubber strap completes the sporty look and supports the overall toughness of the timepiece.
At the heart of the Alpine Eagle XL Chronograph is a patented automatic movement - one that is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer. With 45 jewels and a 60-hour power reserve, the movement will accurately record whatever you're timing. This Chopard 03.05-C chronograph movement features a flyback function and a stop-sections function - all to support accurate and quick time measurement.
The Alpine Eagle collection is one of Chopard’s most loved collections and the eagle motif is unmistakable. In keeping with the eagle theme, Chopard will donate to an eagle-related charity - the Alpine Eagle Foundation - with every Alpine Eagle XL Chronograph it sells. Chopard’s Co-President, Karl-Fredrich Scheufele, helped to establish the charity in 2020 and the aim is to protect the Alps and all life within it - including eagles.
