Eminem's Watch Collection Including Rolex and G-Shock

Eminem's Watch Collection

Marshall Mathers, better known by his stage name Eminem, has been a rapper and music icon for the greater part of three decades. From singles such as “My Name Is” and “The Real Slim Shady” to his iconic performance in the 2002 film 8 Mile, Eminem will go down in history of one of the greatest rappers of all time. Unbeknownst to some, Eminem is somewhat of a watch collector. And his collection, though small, is diverse in style and price. From Rolex to G-Shock and Audemars Piguet, Eminem’s collection has a little bit of something for everyone. So let’s take a look at Marshall Mathers’ watch collection.

Eminem’s Rolex Datejust Ref. 1600

Marshall Mathers could be spotted wearing something on his wrist from his early days. One of the watches Eminem was most commonly seen wearing at the beginning of his career was a classic Rolex Datejust, likely a Ref. 1600. This stainless steel watch featured a white or silver dial with oyster bracelet and roman numeral indices. The watch is a smaller 36 mm and can be picked up on the secondary market for around $5,000 USD.

Eminem’s Rolex Day-Date Ref. 18038 with Diamond Hour Markers

As Eminem’s career evolved, so did his taste in Rolex. On the back cover of Eminem’s 2009 album “The King is Back” there is a portrait of Eminem wearing a Rolex. Given the time period, our best guess is that Eminem is wearing a Rolex Day-Date Ref. 18038 with brown dial, fluted bezel and diamond indices. Given that the watch is solid gold and has diamond hour markers, it is pretty pricey. But in terms of Day-Dates (which are only and have only ever been offered in precious metals), the Ref. 18038 is pretty affordable. They come in around $17,000 USD for a similar configuration.

Eminem’s Rolex Day-Date with Gold Nugget Bracelet

More recently Eminem has been wearing another Day-Date, but this time with a more interesting twist. Eminem has been seen wearing a yellow gold Rolex Day-Date with gold dial and “Nugget” bracelet. The nugget bracelet is not a factory bracelet from Rolex, but we have seen them popping up on the market from time to time (and usually on a Day-Date). The bracelet looks “earthy” to say the least, giving off an uneven, perhaps even haphazard look. Eminem even wore a Tiffany stamped Rolex Day-Date Ref. 18038 during the music video “GNAT” music video. That watch sold, so it is possible the Day-Date with nugget bracelet he has been sporting recently is a different watch.

Eminem’s Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked Ref. 25829OR

Eminem’s most expensive, and most complicated, watch is from the venerable Swiss brand Audemars Piguet. The only AP Eminem seems to own, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ref. 25829OR features a perpetual calendar, moonphase as well as an openworked skeletonized dial showing the inner workings of the watch’s movement. All of these complications are housed in a fairly slim 39mm gold case. The Royal Oak 25829OR has been discontinued, but examples are currently listed on the secondary market for between $250,000 USD and $300,000 USD.

Eminem’s Casio G-Shock X6900MNM-1ER x EMINEM 30th Anniversary Limited Edition

Eminem’s remaining collection are all on the very affordable side (I mean, they are all G-Shocks). We at Wrist Enthusiast are actually big fans of the G-Shock. We even have two watch buying guides devoted exclusively to the brand: the 30 Best G-Shock Watches and the 14 Best G-Shock CasiOak Watches. It turns out Eminem worked with G-Shock to create a 30th Anniversary Limited Edition collaboration: the G-Shock X6900MNM. This piece features an all black case and bracelet, with pink accents and a red 3 at the top of the dial. Mathers’ signature appears at the bottom of the rubber strap with an outline of Detroit, his hometown, on the top of the strap. The watch is currently selling on the secondary market for $700 USD and up, but was likely a lot more affordable when it was first released in 2014.

Eminem’s Casio G-Shock Frogman Burning Red GWF-1000RD-4JF

Eminem's collection of G-Shock watches goes beyond just his limited edition collaboration with the brand. He has been spotted performing with another G-Shock, the Frogman Burning Red Ref. GWF-1000RD-4JF with red resin case and strap. The G-Shock Frogman Burning Red is something of anomaly from the brand is selling at a somewhat crazy market up on the secondary market. Prices are around $2,000 USD.

Eminem’s Casio G-Shock GM110G-1A9

The final G-Shock we have spotted Eminem wearing is one of the flashier pieces you’ll see from the brand. That’s because instead of a resin case, the G-Shock Ref. GM110G-1A9 comes with a yellow gold, well gold-plated, case. The watch also features a chronograph as well as both analog and digital displays. To say it is a pretty busy looking watch is a bit of an understatement. The G-Shock GM110G-1A9 retails for a reasonably $230 USD.
