INTRODUCING: The Newly Redesigned Bremont Supermarine Collection

Bremont have made a name for themselves by producing high-performance chronometers, that are a direct result of years of development and innovation. Drawing their inspiration from the aviation industry, their designs incorporate durable technology and materials as well as inimitable style. The past 22 years of the brand’s lifespan have been dedicated to relentlessly improving their fabulous manufacture calibres, the only ones to be completely produced in the UK. The Juice:

Described as the junction between Sea and Air, the Supermarine Collection from Bremont is a fantastic collection of reliable and functional companions for adventure. These new S302 models are bringing a whole new level to the family. The heritage is clear, but the influence of Davide Cerrato is blatant. Cerrato, who we interviewed earlier in the year, is the man behind the Tudor Black Bay’s roaring success, which has undeniably changed the shape of our industry over the last 10 years. This new feel to the design is refreshing and is hopefully the first stepping stone in Bremont’s ascension to the top, which will only accelerate with a new captain at the helm. The Supermarine S302 comes in three iterations: a black DLC coated model, a stainless steel one, and a Taupe one, which is limited to 400 pieces. Let’s get to what this trio has to offer.

The dials are just what you would expect from a brand like Bremont. Clean and clinical would probably best describe them. Legibility is one of the most important features for the design team, and it is reflected properly here. The colorways are just splendid. The standard model comes with a deep navy dial, which contrasts powerfully with the orange GMT hand and the sharp indices. On the GMT Jet model, the black dial matches the matte casing perfectly and really makes the faux-tina on the indices pop. The limited-edition Taupe GMT is just sublime, incorporating the vintage look with a sharp modern feel. It obviously goes without saying that all the indices and hands are coated in Super-Luminova.

The case is a relatively standard affair- Stainless steel and 40mm in diameter, it’ll fit pretty much any wrist, especially given the thinner profile. Using the Trip-Tick case construction that we see featuring on so many of Bremont’s chronometers, this watch is definitely built to worn and used like a real tool. The finishing is immaculate and leaves no room for critique. The case is topped off with an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, as well as a Bi-Directional 24-hour bezel. The inserts are either brushed aluminium or Ceramic on the DLC coated model. The

The S302 series comes with a great selection of straps and bracelets. From FKM rubber and aged leather straps, that are colour matched to each design, to a dynamic and durable steel bracelet, these Supermarines have got plenty of room for personalisation, and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion like proper ‘Go anywhere, do anything’ watches.

Inside these Supermarine S302s is a fantastic chronometer certified manufacture GMT calibre, with a 50-hour power-reserve. This is possibly the biggest overhaul compared to the previous generation, which were limited to a 3-hand automatic movement with a date function.

All in all, these latest Bremont Supermarine S302s are simply fantastic. They tick every box and more when it comes to the criteria of what makes a Bremont, which is incredibly exciting to see at the start of this new era for such an innovative and dynamic brand. We cannot wait to see what comes next.

So how much does the Bremont Supermarine S302 cost?

The latest S302 models start at $3,750 USD on the strap, and $4,200 USD on the steel bracelet.
