Rolex Files Demolition Permits for New York Headquarters. What's Next?

Rolex is demolishing their New York Headquarters located at 665 Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. So what is happening to the location and the Rolex Store located within the building? Don’t worry, Rolex owns the building and plans to build a beautiful new 25-story office building in it’s place. This building will act as Rolex’s new New York headquarters, and presumably include a brand new Rolex store stocked with 2 to 3 gold ladies Datejusts.

David Copperfield Architects designed the new building, and it looks great. The renderings show a modern office building with a large Rolex flagship store at street level. Once construction begins, Rolex collectors will have to travel to one of the many other Authorized Dealers in Manhattan to pick up their timepieces (if they are lucky enough to be able to get anything). However, there is currently no timetable for the demolition.
